THE BOMBAY ROYALE – YOU ME BULLETS LOVE PROFESSIONAL
We’re talking surf guitar melding into jazz, exotica, and rockabilly, with searing synth injections and of course the more traditional sitar, mandolin and tabla. Over the past few years this mysterious masked nine-piece (plus singers) have been honing their sense of the dramatic, of the exotic and the majestically kitsch around town. Together with her husband Josh, Parvyn also tours the nation presenting cultural education workshops on Indian classical and Bollywood music and dance at primary and secondary schools as well as festivals and events working with organisations such as Multicultural Arts Victoria and Nexus Arts.It makes sense that a Melbourne outfit in thrall of Bollywood excess, both musically and visually, would pit their debut long player as the soundtrack to a fantastical Bollywood romp. In Australia she often performs at festivals such as Woodford Folk Festival, National Folk Festival, WOMADelaide, Fairbridge Folk Festival and many other multicultural events across all states. Internationally she has performed at the Winnepeg Folk Festival, Salmon Arm Folk Fest, Hillside Festival in Canada, California World Music Fest, Glastonbury, Womad UK, Cambridge Folk Fest, Royal Albert Hall, Singapore Arts Festival, Smithsonian Institute, and extensively across Sikh community venues all over the globe. In 2016 she also collaborated with L-Fresh the Lion on his ARIA nominated album Become.

Her debut record ‘Sa’ has collaborations with producers Joelistics, Yelderbert aka Max Dowling and Bob Knob from HopeStreet Recordings. Parvyn’s current solo project synthesies a lifetime of work and represents a new step in her practice.
